My fascination with music, movement, and dance was ignited at the very early age of 3, and has expanded, deepened, and intensified over the past 25 years.  My twenty plus years of classical training and performance in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and lyrical give me the foundation I need to dig deeper and probe further into the joy and art that is DANCE! 

I have been passionately teaching and sharing my love of dance and creative movement for the past 10 years.  I teach and utilize classical technique as a strong base for more open and individualized movement.  Each of my classes draws on many varying techniques and styles of dance, to give a more inspiring, unique experience.  I embrace each individual and build on their own interests, strengths, and passions, while also providing the encouragement to go beyond their comfort zones and try something new! 

 

My classes foster physical, social, emotional and intellectual development through music, movement, play, and dance, for individuals of every age and in every stage of life.  Classes are widely varied, but the ones for children between the ages of 3 and 12 years are what I specialize in! 

 

I am dedicated to providing each person with a safe, open, and non competitive environment for creative expression!  I am a professional Dancer, classically trained in Ballet, Tap, Modern, and Jazz.  I received a Ballet/Modern Dance Scholarship to Texas Tech University, and later transferred to the University of Texas in Austin to dance for the UT Dance Team and the Roustabouts Dance Company.  After graduating form UT in 2000, I danced professionally in London, England and then in the Dallas Dance Company!  I currently Dance with the new Hybrid Ensemble, a Hip-Hop, Jazz, and Modern Company in the Denver Area! 

 

I have enjoyed teaching for the past 12 years, and have taught in Studios, Schools, and Community Outreach throughout Texas and Colorado! 

 

In addition to Dance and Creative Movement, I am also a certified Kids Yoga Instructor, certified through 'It's Yoga Kids' in San Francisco, CA!
